A Breath Of Fresh Air

The weekends are my 2 day break from the weekly radiation treatments. The areas effected by said treatment all have what would appear to be sunburn. Nothing I can’t deal with of course but an interesting side effect. I wonder if I’ll develop some weird tan lines. If my penis turns orange like Donald Trump you’re going to see me posting a lot of *Orange Is The New Black* memes .

I was able to sit for a haircut today courtesy of Danny Danpo who was kind enough to come to my home to practice his craft. I’m pleased to say that after my previous barber moved to the West Coast I’ve found a new one. I may even go as far as to say I may have made a new friend today. Not only did he get me done but he also was able to get my 3 sons since I have not been able to take them to the barber shop. I couldn’t be more pleased with the overall results. We look like people again!

This evening my mother, sister, and niece will arrive for a visit. It will be the second time they’ve come since my treatment started. It’s always nice to be around your family even if they do get on your nerves . It’s a shame that it takes an event such as this to bring families together. Challenging times such as these can really be eye opening.

All in all things are still going well. My symptoms are still running in the background like all those open windows on your phone you refuse to close. The important thing is they’re manageable as of now. I expect this to change as my body builds up a tolerance to them and when that does happen I’ll be ready. I’ve crossed the 1/2 point in my treatment so it’s all down hill from here!
