Today was the start of my second round of chemotherapy as well as week 5 of radioactive therapy. The chemotherapy equipment fits inside this small pack which can be worn as a Fanny pack but it just seemed to get in the way there. I also believe it’s better for the medicine distribution to have the box elevated with the poison dropping down through the tube.
My first round gave me about 36 hours to adjust to the effects of both. Not today though. I was nauseous moments after leaving the Schar Cancer Center today. Week 5 will absolutely be the worst week on my physical, mental, and spiritual health. Lucky for me I picked up some extra on Amazon last night with over night shipping. #ChallengeAccepted
I’m currently soaking in a bathtub while composing this update. The bathing helps reduce the urge to drop a deuce which is awesome. The diarrhea has already begun as well so this is one of the few stress free locations I can be at. Even if I had an accident it’s a bathtub with instant cleanliness on hand!
But that’s not what you came to hear. This is! I met with the head radiologist today. He told me after evaluating all of the scans from the previous 4 weeks my tumors appear to be shrinking. If the smaller one is forced into complete remission then the gigantic one may be surgically removed. I may not end up with a bag of tricks but I’ll definitely have a bag of shits and giggles.
So let’s sum this up. I’m Charlie Fucking Sheen. #Winning!
