I pee sitting down…

This post may be a little graphic for some. #SpoilerAlert! It’s about my penis. Carry on at your own risk.

Radiation therapy can have incredibly detrimental results to your skin care regimens. Being that my cancer is so low in the colon, treatment is centered on everything around it and being the lucky individual I am get everything focused on my groin.

My penis looks like it has leprosy. Skin melts away. There are scabs and scale like skin covering the entire shaft. A normal trip to the toilet would conclude with a few shakes and a wipe. Now however the smallest movement rips open the scabs and leads to infectious leakage and pain.

Now I must squat to pee. Not only is my penis extremely sensitive to any movement but there’s blood in my urine as well. My aim has completely deteriorated and I have no control over the flow of urine that leaves on a crooked path to everywhere. I make messes with only gravity to control where the pee falls.

It is during these times that I finally understand what women go through everywhere. Thanks to my 3 male off spring I now know how important it is to

PUT THE TOILET SEAT DOWN!

Has anyone else rushed to the toilet only to sit on a frozen porcelain surface? Oh, and don’t let me get started on these little heathens aim . There is no reason whatsoever that their bathroom smells like a gas station restroom. Love Singh

So to sum things up, my penis is broken. The skin damage goes beyond my abdominal area but it’s most severe there. I’m aging quickly through this treatment. But you know what? Tomorrow is the last radiation appointment and my true healing can begin before lunch is served.

Happy Easter everyone!
